ALLOS recognizes the importance of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in order to preserve ecosystems, air quality and human health. We know that atmospheric emissions present financial, regulatory, and reputational challenges, and for this reason we are taking measures to mitigate them.
Our malls monitor and control the main emission sources, including consumption of fuels, refrigerants, energy, waste generation and transportation. We conduct an annual inventory of GHG, covering the scopes defined by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. We have committed to reaching carbon neutrality in our operations by 2040, for scopes 1 and 2.
At our malls, the principal emission sources are direct sources, related to consumption of fuels and refrigerants, and indirect sources, related to energy consumption, waste generation, movement of employees and transportation of materials.
Our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are consolidated annually in our inventory, which covers the three scopes established by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. At ALLOS, we assume the commitment to guarantee carbon neutrality in our operations by 2040, for scopes 1 and 2.
