Access to potable water is essential for life and well-being and is recognized by the United Nations as a human right. Although water is a renewable natural resource, it is also finite, and its availability must be preserved.
At ALLOS, we take measures to reduce water consumption at our malls, diversify the supply sources and ensure proper treatment of the wastewater generated.
In order to reduce water consumption, we obtain water from alternative sources, such as artesian wells, rainwater, and reuse of water. Furthermore, our malls have ecologically efficient equipment that contributes to water efficiency.
In regard to the treatment of effluents, we certify that 100% of the wastewater generated by our malls is properly treated. We use treatment stations with aerobic, anaerobic, and ultrafiltration by reverse osmosis technologies, increasing the utilization of water treated in different manners.
Through these practices, we seek to promote sustainability, making the best use of treated water for different purposes, such as flushing toilets, cleaning, irrigation, and cooling towers, reducing the volume of water discharged into the public wastewater system.
